Top SE Project
Intellectual manufacturing education program
based on science
The Top SE Project is a practical education program aiming to cultivate software engineers who have acquired highly advanced development techniques based on the concept, “intellectual manufacturing education based on science.”
Currently, the following six series of courses have
been developed, and a range of classes are being offered.

♦ Requirement analysis and security requirement analysis
♦ Formatted specifications description
♦ Implementation technologies
♦ Architecture
♦ Management
All courses place emphasis on the following three points.
Practical training is provided that focus mainly on the exercises.
Twelve members of the inaugural class completed the program in March 2007, and nineteen second-year class members completed the program in March 2008. Applications are being accepted from students wishing to join the fourth-year class that starts in April 2009.
In the near future, people who completed the program are expected to become leading engineers in the companies with whom they work.

The Top SE Project is a program promoted mainly by National Institute of Informatics (NII) and Professor Shinichi Honiden of NII, with subsidies from fiscal 2004 Science and Technology Promotion Adjustment Funds of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
