Title:Supporting Requirements Change Management in Goal Oriented Analysis
Speaker:Haruhiko Kaiya (Department of Information Engineering, Shinshu University / Grace Center, National Institute of Informatics)
Abstract:Requirements changes frequently occur at any time of a software development process and their management is a crucial issue to develop software of high quality. Meanwhile, recently goal-oriented analysis techniques are being put into practice to elicit requirements. In this situation, the change management of goal graphs and its support is necessary. In this talk, we present two topics related to change management of goal graphs;

1) version control of goal graphs and
2) impact analysis on a goal graph whenever its modifications occur.

In our version control system, we extract the differences between successive versions of a goal graph by means of monitoring modification operations performed through a goal graph editor, and store them in a repository. It can record the history of requirements changes together with their rationales. Our impact analysis detects conflicts that arise when a new goal is added, and investigates the achievability of the other goals when the existing goal is deleted.

Title:An Aspect-oriented Framework for Secure Application Development
Speaker:Takao Okubo (Fujitsu Laboratories)
Abstract: In the software development field , there is a big obstacle to analyzing, designing and implementing security. It is the acute lack of security expertise. Without security expertise, even good security software engineering approaches have little hope of success. So a more realistic way suitable for current situation is required. We consider one of the solutions is an aspect-oriented approach which separates security from other concerns. With our approach, security concerns that security experts are responsible for, should be built as a “security framework”. Here we show a broad overview of this security framework, and technical points in analysis and design stages. And we also present an efficient security requirements elicitation method with extended misuse cases.
Biography:Takao Okubo is a researcher in the Secure Computing Laboratory of Fujitsu Laboratories, Japan. He is also a doctoral student of Institute of Information Security(IISEC), Yokohama Japan. In Fujitsu Laboratories, he works as a security consultant and an auditor for various web system engineers. He is interested in how to integrate security in the current software engineering methodology.
